• Sports ‘n Romance

Calling all sports writers! Looking for a unique way to connect with your readers?

A great way to hit a Home Run with them is to travel together. Without fail, when announcing your book tour, you hear from fans asking when you’ll be in such-in-such town or why you never come to their city. We know it’s not feasible for some fans to come into town for those events, so here’s a way to connect with your fans and get a all-expenses paid vacation at the same time!

    What you need to do:

    • Pick your city
    • Choose your dates
    • Select the game you want to see
    • Decide what sightseeing activities you want to do (both on your own and with the group)

    New York City (Summer) Example:

    Day 1

Fly to NYC and get settled at your hotel. Meet and greet that night in the hotel bar.

    Day 2

Chat with your readers over breakfast. Then host an informal Q&A session.

    Bike Riding in Central Park

Explore all the nooks and crannies of Central Park by bicycle. The park is loaded with history, and you could spend hours uncovering the stories behind each attraction. While cycling through you’ll also discover the statues of Shakespeare and Alice in Wonderland.

Pajama Party at hotel – author read and desserts (I would describe this more.)

    Day 3

    Tour of MLB Fan Cave

The Fan Cave is a first-of-its-kind space mixing baseball with music, popular culture, media, interactive technology and art. Talk with the “super fan” hosts and test your baseball knowledge.

    Tour of stadium

Get a behind the scenes look at Yankee Stadium. Take a stroll through the New York Yankees Museum, Monument Park, the Dugout and the Clubhouse and Batting Cage area.

    Ticket to Yankees game

Enjoy America’s favorite past-time at Yankee Stadium. Here you can fill up on baseball favorites like hot dogs and cold beer!

    Day 4

Day to explore NYC – (fans on their own) – City Pass/Shopping (I would describe this more.)

    Dinner with author

    Time Square Hunks

Enjoy an evening out at a male review. Who knows, you may even end up on stage with a tiara!

    Day 5

Say farewell over breakfast at the hotel. The trip may be over, but the memories last a lifetime.

These trips can be customized to specific cities, with specific sports/teams and city specific activities. Time is built-in so you can have some time to yourself to explore the city.
