Welcome to Ingenious Travel

Seasoned travelers, best friends,
dreamers & adventurers welcome.

Here at Ingenious Travel we believe that part of our job as agents is to be storytellers and authors. We don’t just book your hotel and flight. We listen to you and try to understand what you want to accomplish from your holiday or vacation so that we can provide it.

Are you a solo traveler who thirsts for adventure?

Are you part of a group or business wanting to strengthen relationships with your members/clients ?

Whatever your desire, be it a book club’s tour of the Napa Valley or a buddy group traveling to see a sporting event, we listen and then we provide.

Everyone can travel to a city and see sights. Not everyone will have an adventure that they remember well into their golden years. THAT’s the business we’re in; creating memories and helping you make and collect the stories of your life.

Some travel agencies work with the same tour companies to provide a very rote -boring- vacation. We don’t do that. We know that as an individual or group of individuals you want something that speaks to you, that you can cherish and remember.

Life is about personal moments that touch you. You may not remember the time you went with a group on a tour of the Louvre with an established guide, nearly as well as you will remember where you ate breakfast as you watched an elephant walk through your dining area. We get that.

We want to work with you to plan not just a trip, but an adventure.

Compared to most shorter distance, or domestic flights, you may already be experiencing some sticker shock. But let me suggest a reframe here…. Instead of looking at the total price tag, break it down into cost per travel hour. Let’s compare 24 hours to Sydney at $2,500 vs. 3.5 hours to Vegas for $250. Sydney breaks down to $104/hour and Vegas to $71/hour – it doesn’t look so bad anymore, […]

Are they all in order?  Here’s a list of everything you need, plus practical tips on how to keep everything organized, safe, and accessible. Your passport. This is the big one. Make sure it hasn’t expired and is within six months of being expired. And don’t forget passports for your kid(s)! Any visas that […]

Turn your red-eye into some shut eye

Sleeping well on a plane has developed into a certain kind of art — and into a healthy business — with savvy travelers constantly scoping out new ways to make long flights more conducive to actual rest. Here are a few that really seem to have some payoff. Splurge on a better seat. Sure, not everyone can afford a premium seat in first or business class, where you can take advantage of fully- or almost-fully-reclining seats and loads of leg room. But for long-distance flights, it can still be worth […]
